You’ve got an idea, now what? Find out during this fast-paced conversation with representatives from Dreamit, Invent Penn State, and the Penn State EdTech Network.
During this Fischer Speaker Series event, representatives from these groups will give an overview of the place of entrepreneurship in the Higher Education context before providing specific examples of where to go, what to do, and what to consider as you act to bring your idea to reality.
Andrew Ackerman, Managing Director Dreamit EdTech, will provide insight about the value of forming a startup company around your idea and what to do first in that process. You will be given tricks of the trade that help turn your assumptions into knowledge and inform your decisions as to whether to proceed, pivot, or abandon your idea.
Next James DeLattre, Asst. VP for Penn State Research & Industrial Partnerships, and Daren Coudriet, Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Penn State Ed Tech Network, will provide the latest “lay of the land” at Penn State and how to best leverage the Invent Penn State and Penn State Ed Tech Network initiatives to support your work, particularly if you don’t find the idea of forming and leading a startup company particularly appealing.
