The Promise of Open Education at Penn State builds on last year’s OER Summit as the university prepares for the upcoming 2017 Fall OER Summit. During this COIL Conversation we will examine how Open Educational Resources (OER) can address the major institutional priorities of increased student access and affordability. This session will highlight how Penn State’s OER Initiative fits within the University’s Transforming Education strategic plan priority by showcasing how faculty use of OER is benefiting their students. Additionally, the University-wide OER Task Force will share key findings from their 2016 report to the Provost.
